About this property

Langport 2.4 miles. This charming cottage of The Loafing Shed rests in the sought-after location of a quaint farm in Low Ham near Langport, Somerset. A wonderful farm building conversion, The Loafing Shed is perfect for a family of four's relaxing getaway to the Somerset Levels. On arrival, you'll be pleased to discover private parking as well as stunning sights of the far-reaching countryside surrounding this wonderful abode! Continue inside to be welcomed by a living/dining room which features lovely furnishings and a touch of character, owing to the exposed beams adorning the ceilings and the exposed stone walls; settle down on the plush sofas and enjoy a film on the large TV after a busy day out. When you're feeling peckish, make your way to the farmhouse-style kitchen and grab some fresh produce from the Smeg fridge to rustle up a delicious meal with, before tucking into it at the dining table over a glass of wine. During the warmer months, be sure to take your dinner outside to the shared courtyard, where you may even be able to spot the farm's horses during your meal! When night falls, choose one of the property's two fabulous bedrooms to rest in, with the first one being a king-size enjoying sloping ceilings and the nice touch of a dressing table, and the second being a twin which also enjoys vaulted ceilings. The bedrooms share access to a nearby bathroom, where leisurely soaks can be relished in the bath; the ground floor also hosts a shower room, ideal for preventing those morning queues! In the morning, be sure to enjoy a steaming cup of coffee with a book from those provided out in the courtyard, before embarking on a stroll around the farm. Whisk your loved ones away for a superb break at The Loafing Shed. The cottages share a beautiful family home which is also home to Ivy & Bud, a nationwide floral gift service sending a seasonal posy and pretty little bud vase to arrive next day. The flowers and foliage are being lovingly grown at Old Manor Farm and the posies created and packaged there. Workshops may be available in the future. Note: This property can be booked with Refs. 1096369 and 1097558, together sleeping up to 10 guests.

I would have liked the kitchen to be better equipped and some information about the cottage and surrounding areas as there was no welcome pack in the cottage when we arrived. We had my elderly mother with us and i would recommend the rugs are made safer (antislip) as they were extremely dangerous on the wooden floors.

The farm was an added bonus , the horses and the dogs were a huge hit with our two children. The barn is very cosy and warm with the log fire blazing, it was just like the cottage from the Holiday! we would love to stay again next time we visit the UK.

The property is located on a pristine farm and the horses, chickens, and dogs are very friendly. Would definitely come back.
