Characterful period cottage situated in the popular village of Cheddar, known for its spectacular limestone gorge.

This property enjoys a secluded hillside location just five minutes from the centre of the village of Cheddar, with its famous gorge, range of shops, tearooms, and pubs. The picteresque Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Beauty can be found just outside the village, offering miles of attractive walks, cycling, and horse rides, all with splendid views to be enjoyed. A little further afield, the pretty cathedral city of Wells can be found nine miles to the south of the property, close to which is Wookey Hole, a fascinating attraction, home not only to the famed caves, but also a range of museums, shows, and play areas. Entering this quaint cottage, guests come straight to the welcoming lounge, the focal point of which is the large stone fireplace which now houses the warming woodburner, bringing a lovely cosy atmosphere to the room. The room is furnished with two comfortable sofas, perfect for relaxing in front of the TV/DVD. Off to the side of the lounge, a doorway leads through to the kitchen/diner, a charming room with exposed beams and an attractive homely feel. The table here comfortably seats four, whilst there is also an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, and dishwasher. Wooden stairs lead to the first floor, where there are two bedrooms. The first of these is a king size room which is approached through a low cottage style doorway. The second bedroom, meanwhile, is a restful twin room. The shower room, also on this floor, offers a shower and WC.
