The Old Stable in Glastonbury is highly praised for its cleanliness, peaceful location, and comfort. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, cosy furnishings, and the thoughtful touches for both human and canine visitors. The cottage's proximity to local attractions and its tranquil setting make it a popular choice for a relaxing stay.
Guests consistently mention the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as 'beautifully clean', 'tidy', and 'spotless'. The high level of cleanliness contributes significantly to the overall positive experience.
The location is frequently highlighted as ideal, quiet, and central to Somerset's attractions. Its proximity to Glastonbury, Wells, and other towns, as well as local pubs, is appreciated, though some guests mention weak internet as a minor drawback.
Comfort is a strong point, with guests finding the cottage cosy, the beds comfy, and the setting peaceful. However, a few guests noted the steep stairs as a concern, slightly impacting the comfort score.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and secure parking. Some guests suggest minor improvements, such as sharper knives and better access, but overall the facilities meet guests' needs.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident through mentions of welcome treats for guests and dogs, as well as practical amenities like dog bowls and a stair gate. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

The old stable is an ideal cottage for a quiet getaway. It is great for two people and has everything you need including good WiFi .The only issue would be using the second bedroom because of the very steep steps.

Honestly it was absolutely perfect for us we will be looking at booking again for next year . So thoughtful with a stair gate at the top of the stairs kids plates bowls cups ect and a step in the bathroom for the kids . A fantastic cot for our youngest one to sleep in . A oven lock to stop the kids opening it ! A very secure garden was fantastic to let kids and dogs run about ! Although this is shared with other people staying we had absolutely no issues as there is a gate separating the patios which is easy to move ! Hand soap washing up liquid tea towels sponge and towels all supplied ! Milk some dog treats and biscuits! A hoover so you can hoover mid week once kids make a mess . A dog bowl and some dog towels ! Only down side is that the stairs was incredibly steep leading to the upstairs room but with the stair gate it wasn’t an issue and we had a downstairs room so dint have to go up really. It’s also close to shops for food shop . would recommend Clark’s village they have a great kids play area . Plenty of walks and wooky hole close by ! Thank you for such a great week !
