Next stop is Yelverton which can be accessed via the Cadover Bridge, where you will find a good selection of pubs and restaurants, perfect for grabbing a tasty bit to eat and cold drink after a long walk, as well as a well-stocked convenience store, hairdressers, butchers and an excellent golf club for those who have brought their clubs. Just a short drive away is the remarkable Buckland Abbey, a historic National Trust property which boasts and museum, beautifully manicured gardens and expansive woodlands with walking trails to be explored. Just a little further is the historic market town of Tavistock, where you can delve into the town’s heritage at the Tavistock Museum, visit the the award-winning Pannier Market which has been taking place since the 11th century. Be sure to visit one of the many delightful cafes and tea rooms each serving Tavistocks heritage cream tea, a delicious treat whilst on your travels. For a fun-filled family day, pack up the car and head to the glorious sands of Wembury, where you can paddle the shores, build sandcastles and discover the rockpools that speckle the beach.

The historic town of Plympton was an important trading port and held by William the Conqueror in 1086. Each year, the thriving town hosts 'The Lamb Fest' and Midsummer Nights Dream. In the heart of the town, you will discover an array of pubs, independent cafes and a great selection of shops.
