We stayed here in September 2026 - a group of 3 adults. My wife and I are often in Plymouth to visit our daughter but this time we decided to stay on the outskirts to relax a bit. What a lovely place this is. So relaxing with the wonderful views and walks along the coastal paths are just a few hundred yards away. A great base to explore the area. The hosts Mary and Cliff were wonderful. I would definitely recommend it.

We had a very enjoyable stay at this lovely location. We were treated to a warm welcome from Cliff and Mary – and the dogs. The views from the lounge and balcony are beautiful. Unfortunately, the weather was not great so we used the balcony less than we would have liked, but it was enjoyable simply to gaze over Plymouth Sound from the lounge. At night the wind made for exciting sleep as it howled over the roof tiles, but was strangely comforting. Generally, the facilities are very good. The showers are excellent, though one of the rooms has little in the way surface space. The kitchen is kitted out with a good hob, oven, microwave and fridge and there is plenty of utensils. It is, however, quite small with limited surface space, so much so that the toaster, coffee maker and air fryer must be carried from the utility room which is on the far side of the lounge. There is room for only one of these at any time. Still, if you want to eat out frequently there’s no problem. We enjoyed a particularly good meal at the Mussel Inn in Down Thomas, just a short kilometre walk away. We also explored the nearby coastal path for walks and the Mount Batten ferry for access to the Barbican in Plymouth.

Had a fantastic stay, our hosts Mary and Cliff gave us a very warm welcome. The view from the apartment is stunning, wish we could have brought it home with us! The accommodation is beautiful and very comfortable. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this property and would love to return.
