Nestled in the quiet village of Wembury, Devon is where you'll find this beautiful, detached bungalow, Antala. With the beach less than a mile away, this holiday home welcomes a group of four to explore the spectacular, National Trust-owned coastlines of South Devon. Immediately spot the sea views as you park up in the off-road parking space and get settled into your home-away-from-home. With ground-floor living, the bungalow offers a convenient stay to suit all guests and features homely décor throughout. Two plush leather sofas await at the end of a busy day along the coast to put your feet up and watch a film on the Smart TV.
The dining table for six offers plenty of space to host dinner, whether that's a takeaway or homemade by the group's chef in the stylish and well-equipped kitchen. Utilise an electric double oven, induction hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher for a comfortable self-catering stay, alongside a coffee machine to start your day on the right foot. Head straight to the utility after a lazy day on the beach to throw sandy towels and clothes straight into the washing machine and tumble dryer, ready for the next day. Take refuge in the conservatory and watch the sun set over the sea, whilst you curl up in the armchair with a book from the collection or uncork a bottle of wine and toast to your retreat.
Two charming double bedrooms with ample storage space are pleasant rooms to unwind and rest up, including a double with a fabulous en-suite bathroom, and a double with a TV for quiet mornings watching your favourite shows. Wash away the sand in the shower room with a spacious walk-in shower, whilst your towel warms up on the heated towel rail. Completing Antala, you'll find a lovely outdoor garden with a lawn area and decking to dine alfresco and make the most of your tranquil surroundings. Stroll into the centre of Wembury to find The Old Wheel, a popular pub and restaurant, as well as a convenience store to stock up on the essentials; Wembury Beach is a haven for surfers, sun-seekers and sandcastle-makers, with The Old Mill Café nearby to fuel your day.
Visit Bovisand's secluded beach with rocky cliffs, tide pools and picturesque views, with plenty of walks to guide you along this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Take a short drive to Noss Mayo, a small, pretty village home to two popular inns with fantastic views across Newton Creek; follow along the breath-taking coastline to find idyllic coves and beaches, whilst historians will relish the Church of St Peter the Poor Fisherman, the ruins of a medieval church resting on a cliff to the south above Stoke Bay. For a change of pace, the bustling port city of Plymouth has a host of attractions on offer, including The Box museum, the historic fortress of Royal Citadel and a variety of performances at Theatre Royal Plymouth.

Pity they couldn't accommodate me for a date next summer.

Being able to walk to the beach and to the South West Coast Path was such a bonus. We were so lucky with the weather and it was very hot the whole week we were there! Therefore, for us, the only addition would possibly be an umbrella or some sort of shade on the deck, as we couldn't sit outside during the heat of the day. (Not often one gets to say that in the UK!) This will say more about us, but we didn't find the pull out drawer above the plates with the utensils until half way through the week, so had gone out to buy some! Perhaps that could be mentioned in the instruction booklet. We had a wonderful stay and thank you for sharing your lovely home.

On arrival there was biscuits and milk in the fridge, clean and tidy. Was like home from home only better views, very quiet area.
