About this property

2 Princes Cottages is a beautiful and contemporary detached cottage with stunning views, situated in the scenic village of Wembury Point, right on the Plymouth Coast. A spacious and sociable property, this cottage is the ideal location for a seaside holiday with the family or groups of friends. As you enter into the hallway, you will immediately feel the charm of this home; the kitchen/diner is at the heart with lots of space for friends and family to sit and chat, whilst you get busy in the kitchen preparing a large breakfast or a scrumptious three-course dinner. When full from dinner, saunter through to the bright and roomy sitting room and make yourself comfortable on the couch as you flick on the TV and enjoy some of your favourite shows. Step up into the sun room and chill out on the sofas as you watch the sun go down through the beautiful bi-folding doors. The ground floor is also home to a cloakroom and a utility room. Make the most of the garden during the summer by hosting a family barbecue and playing games on the lawn with the children, let the dogs run free in this large enclosed space. Take the children upstairs and tuck them into one of the two twin bedrooms with a bed time story, before reconvening with friends on the first-floor balcony for drinks and a relaxing dip in the hot tub. After an entertaining evening spent with your nearest and dearest, fall into a deep slumber in one of the beautiful king-size beds located in the two double bedrooms on the first-floor. Both of these double bedrooms, as well as one of the twin bedrooms are complete with an en-suite bathroom, meaning you can take your time to get ready in the mornings and feel your best as you begin your day, whilst a family bathroom can be found on the first-floor. Take an early morning stroll down to Wembury point and be blown away by the astonishing views of Great Mewstone, right across the bay. Head down to Wembury beach, stopping off for a light bite at The Old Mill Café and in the afternoon, jump in the car and drive to the bustling port city of Plymouth, where you can stop by local landmarks such as Smeaton's Tower, or enjoy a day of shopping in the town centre and sitting down for a tasty meal in one of the many restaurants before heading back to the comfort of your holiday home. If you're travelling with children, plan a trip to the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth or Dartmoor Zoo to meet the exotic animals that call this their home. For a truly exciting escape to the Plymouth Coast, stay at 2 Princes Cottages.

Down Thomas is a quintessential village on the beautiful Plymouth Coast. Scenic walks such as Wembury Point and Wembury beach, you will be spoilt with stunning sea views. There are a number of pubs and cafes to dine in throughout your stay in the area and even a local shop for getting in the groceries, if a home cooked meal is on the agenda. Head into the city of Plymouth for a spot of shopping or visit the Dartmoor Zoo if travelling with children.

As a party of six adults, I can confirm that all the beds are full size and we found them very comfortable. Laura and Karl (who managee the property) could not have been more helpful on the few occasions there were issues. The location is extremely quiet with fantastic views. The property is fairly isolated and as others have noted, I would not say that the beach is walkable with young children - or the local pub and shop which are in neighbouring villages.

Gardens and house lovely. However we were 7 adults and the two twin rooms appeared to have childrens beds and very thin mattresses. Sleeping was uncomfortable.
