Nestling on a quiet hillside surrounded by woodland in the Forest of Dean, with countryside views from the sitting area, this detached property offers a convenient base to explore the surrounding area. Part of the owner’s small-holding with sheep grazing and free-range chickens, the owner also makes his own farm house cider using a 150 year old traditional stone press. Wildlife in abundance awaits you, with footpaths and bridle ways from the doorstep. Many activities are available within the Forest of Dean including, walking, cycling, climbing, fishing, canoeing and horse riding. Ross-on-Wye is 8 miles away, the cathedral city of Gloucester is 12 miles away and Cheltenham a further 8 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Lovely cottage with beautiful views over the forest,loads to do nearby.Bathroom is quite small,a bit difficult to manoeuvre around in.The owners were very friendly, and gave lots of local advice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hayloft Cottage. It is ideally situated for walking and has lovely views over the valley. You have to be physically mobile to stay at Hayloft Cottage as it’s situated on an incline. There’s plenty to see in the surrounding area nearby.
