Blanche Cottage is praised for its cleanliness, charming decor, and proximity to the sea and local amenities. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds, though some note the steep stairs and single downstairs bathroom. The garden is a delightful suntrap, and thoughtful touches like a welcome tray are mentioned.
Guests consistently note the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as 'really clean' and 'nice and clean', indicating high standards of hygiene and upkeep.
The location is highly regarded for its closeness to the sea, town, and local attractions. However, parking difficulties and narrow, steep access slightly detract from the overall convenience.
The cottage's beds and decor are frequently commended for comfort. However, some guests find the sofa uncomfortable and the steep stairs a concern for young children or those with mobility issues.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and state-of-the-art appliances. Criticisms include a broken toilet seat and the need for more glasses and a larger toaster.
Guests mention a welcome tray with teas, coffees, and cookies, showcasing the owners' thoughtfulness. However, as such gestures are not guaranteed for all stays, they should be considered a pleasant bonus rather than an expectation.

Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!

The location is fabulous. Interior décor is lovely and calming and we made great use of the books and guides plus the folder with all the recommendations, guides, etc was very helpful. Accessing the bedrooms is not easy for people who are less able but that's our fault for not reading the details properly. Just a few other comments though - in the very top bedroom there were rips in both the pillow and duvet on the right hand bed, I think only one toilet in the property for potentially 5 adults is not enough and it being located on the ground floor makes access difficult. Last thing - again there could potentially be five adults in the property and the toaster only being able to take 2 slices made breakfast very slow - a minor comment but not all visitors can afford to eat out for every meal and the four of us had breakfast in the cottage each morning. That aside we had a fantastic stay and will definitely be coming back. Thank you.

Arriving by train from London, it was an easy walk through town to get to the cottage. We found the location was perfect for topping up on groceries from the small grocery store a five minute walk away or catching one of the tour boats a six minute walk away or watching the fishermen or the ocean swimmers, a 30 second walk away. The cottage had been beautifully restored with a state-of -the-art kitchen and appliances and lovely furnishing throughout. We had read about the steep stairs to the bedrooms but we are spry 77 year olds and had no problem, however if you have bad knees, or toddler-age children, this cottage might not be ideal for you. The only bathroom is on the main floor and the bedrooms are all upstairs. The beds were very comfortable with high quality bedding and décor in both bedrooms. We didnât need or use the top floor bedroom. The welcome tray of teas and coffees and cookies were most appreciated. In summary, a lovely place to stay on our Weymouth holiday.

A lovely cottage with great decor. It had everything we needed, making our time there easy and enjoyable. The garden in the evening is a suntrap, so a warm way to wind down. The location is great - seconds away from the sea, minutes from nearby places to eat and drink, and shops within easy walking distance.
