Our family of four had an amazing week at Swallows Nest. We had a very warm welcome from Martin on arrival which set the tone for our holiday. The property is fantastic and very well equipped. We enjoyed the table tennis and definitely appreciated having two en-suite bathrooms. Swallows Nest is set down a quiet lane which satnav found easily. Wool itself is a great base to explore Dorset, with Lulworth Cove, Dorchester, Weymouth, Poole and Monkey World all just a short drive away. The three village pubs were also great to visit and all within walking distance of the property. We would highly recommend.

Lovely, quiet location with no through traffic. There were four us of us and it gave us all we needed. OK, not perfect in every respect we enjoyed the table tennis table and played boules in the grassy area. We felt more could be done with garden to make the outside more interesting. All in all though we had a good week, despite awful weather and would recommend.

Swallows Nest is a comfortable, well-equipped property in a great location managed by a friendly & knowledgable host, Martin. Had a great week visiting the many great locations on the doorstep - the Lawrence Trail, which I knew nothing about until Martin mentioned it, Kimmeridge & the Steve Etches museum, which is a must for fossil lovers, Lulworth, the Hardy Monument and Max Gate, Thomas Hardy's cottage on the outskirts of nearby Dorchester, etc, etc. Other highlights included the wonderful stove in the living room, the table tennis table outside, the peace & tranquility of the surrounding area and the level of equipment provided - everything from a torch to a hot water bottle. A very enjoyable week and I would not hesitate to return. Many thanks Martin and will be seeing you again at some point in the future : )
