Kimmeridge is just a short drive away where you can explore the Etches Collection of Jurassic marine fossils and refuel with lunch or a cream tea at Clavell’s Restaurant afterwards. Kimmeridge Bay boasts the best snorkelling in Dorset and is the perfect place to fossil hunt all year round and enjoy a swim! Corfe Castle is a historical village, considered as one of Britain’s most iconic and evocative survivors of the English Civil War, captivated by romantic castle ruins with scenic views across Purbeck. The main route through the village is East Street, which forms part of the A351 main road leading to Wareham in the north and Swanage in the south.
