It's ideal if you're searching for a comfortable base from which to explore the Jurassic Coast as a couple, friends or a solo traveller who prefers the space and privacy of this charming home-away-from-home as you visit for work or pleasure. Worgret Heath Nature Reserve is just over the fence adjacent to the cottage with a private gate which lends itself as the perfect setting for an evening stroll. Holme for Gardens is a personal favourite and is definitely worth a visit being less than a 5 minute drive from the cottage. Here you will discover an award-winning 15-acre landscaped garden walk, garden centre with gift shop, cafe and a calendar of events within the Amphitheatre.
Worgret is a small village on the outskirts of Wareham and it's only two miles from the cottage to the town centre. Dating back to Saxon times, the pretty market town is delightfully scenic and sits beside the rivers Frome and Piddle. Find your bearings by following the waymarked path from Wareham Quay past the castle, west walls and the infamous Blood Bank to St Martin's Church before browsing independent shops and eating at a riverside pub or restaurant.
The unesco Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site is just seven miles from Marantha, which puts you within easy reach of places like Studland and Durdle Door. The region is renowned for its rich fossil finds, particularly around Chesil Beach and Lyme Regis. Other places for days out include National Trust Kingston Lacy, Swanage, Weymouth, Studland Beach, Tyneham Village, and the Bovington Tank Museum. Take your binoculars for bird and wildlife watching at rspb Arne and Brownsea Island, your swimsuit for a seaside dip in Swanage, and your appetite for history to see Corfe Castle and Sherborne Abbey.

Maranatha is a private annexe cottage adjoining the owner's home and surrounded by three acres of gardens. Accommodation is all on the ground floor.
Outside: The cottage has a private garden with outdoor seating and parking for two cars.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. Guests will need to bring beach towels if they are required. The cottage is not suitable for children or pets. Smoking is not permitted. Unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs, due to gravel and thresholds.
