After arriving and parking on the private driveway, soak up the sea breeze before climbing the steps to your home-from-home. Progress inside to discover an inviting living/dining room that is adorned with calming greys and blues, and features plush seating for you to relax on as you enjoy a Sky show on the TV or read a book from the selection at hand. These meals can be relished out in the garden amidst the serene surroundings, or they can be savoured indoors during the chillier months. At the end of the day, retreat to one of the two double bedrooms, the first being the master which enjoys a balcony, where you can sit out and admire those sea views before washing away the day in the en-suite shower room; the second room enjoys access to a nearby shower room. The living/dining room offers a sofa bed (on request) also, offering flexibility for your sleeping arrangements. Embark on a short stroll towards Swanage's coastline, where not only do the delights of Swanage Beachfront, Pier and Peveril Point await, but an array of eateries, including The Salt Pig Too and Gee Whites Seafood Restaurant. Swanage is home to a heritage railway station, where you can board a steam engine and enjoy onboard dining as you travel to the likes of Corfe Castle and Norden. Be sure to visit Poole, a coastal town with plenty to offer, including access to Brownsea Island, several attractive parks and the fascinating Poole Museum. If nature is your thing, the property has easy access to the South West Coastal Path, from which you can hike to Studland & Goldingston Heath, nature reserves with plenty of sights to see and birdwatching to enjoy; alternatively, why not pay the bustling city of Bournemouth a visit, where ample amusements and beaches can be found? Swanage is a modest, family-friendly beach village on the legendary Isle of Purbeck, near the eastern extremity of Dorset's famous Jurassic Coast. It is best known for its magnificent, gently sloping golden dunes. The little town has a variety of stores, bars, and eateries, some of which serve local seafood. The charming Victorian wooden pier is a terrific spot to take a walk or try fishing, and it's also a nice site to see the world go by.

The place was dirty, hadn’t been cleaned properly. The kitchen was very poorly furnished, the frying pans were a disgrace (should have been binned a long time earlier), there was no welcome pack which always gives you an indication of what to expect from the owners. Floors badly creaked, doors needed oiling, en-suite extractor switch did not work, wooden garden furniture were old and had broken seat slats. The garden was overgrown and the property not attractive for a holiday. It needs a full clean and review. Not recommended.

But we arrived in the dark and rain - steps to the house are different depths and different heights and a serious hazard for anyone with less than 20/20 eyesight - edges need to be painted white, and ideally a couple of sensor switched lights. There is an outside light, but as this is switched from the kitchen, not much help till you have got in, and even then is hardly adequate. The Leylandi is overgrown and obstructing the steps, adding to the hazard. Directions need to have added "Set satnav directions to Bon Accord Road to get to the top end of Drummond Road" otherwise satnav takes you to the bottom end and your car will ground. BBC on Sky seemed to need a PIN number, which wasn't provided (there were no instructions for the TV). Handset batteries need replacing - leaking There were notes in the visitor book several times, going back to summer last year, that the frying pans need replacing. They are very poor, and other pans aren't good either.
