Its rural location is super for taking in the fresh air and enjoying country walks where you may spot one of the many inhabitants of the area such as kingfishers or voles. On your return, enter the front door and relax by the wood burning stove in the sitting room with a hot chocolate. In the warmer months prepare a tasty evening meal in the cottage style kitchen and par take in al fresco dining in the enclosed back garden. The property boasts two calm, peaceful and pleasant bedrooms perfect for ensuring a lovely restful night.

In the village, around a mile away, is the Crown pub, a pet friendly place which has a reputation for serving good homemade meals with lots of locally sourced produce, several of local ales and has the delights of a beer garden. You will find a village shop/post office that will be able to provide you with basic, general provisions. Blandford Forum, a market town is just a short drive away and is ideal for shopping it is notable for its attractive Georgian architecture which was erected when it was majority rebuilt after there was a fire in 1731.

With the beautiful Dorset Jurassic Coast, only being around 45 minutes away. It is another good option for a day trip out to explore the world heritage coastline. There are few visitor attractions within an easy drive such as the National Trust's Kingston Lacy or the TV famous Monkey World.

An attractive village, Winterborne Stickland is situated beneath the majestic Dorset Downs, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The centre of this charming village features several picturesque cob and thatch cottages including the 17th century inn, and a 13th century church, whilst the surrounding countryside offers wonderful rural walks. Just 3 miles away is the pretty village of Milton Abbas, with its beautiful Benedictine abbey and exquisite, whitewashed, thatched cottages, often featured on Dorset picture postcards. Tour the striking Georgian architecture, visit the fascinating Fashion Museum, or sample real ale at the local brewery at nearby Blandford Forum. Alternatively, explore the colourful market and array of shops, pubs and restaurants at Thomas Hardy’s Dorchester, or enjoy the delights of the scenic Jurassic Coast, both within easy driving distance.
