It offers a good selection of shops and eateries, as well as an imposing medieval castle, the Museum of Dartmoor Life and its restored train station all being well-worth a visit. Explore the Roadford Reservoir for a good selection of watersporting opportunities, or take a trip into the National Park to experience stunning scenery and a plethora of nature.

The site offers a huge amount of flora and fauna and the amount of wildlife is amazing. I recorded 12 different bat species and I would recommend that anyone interested in nature and wildlife pay a visit here

The barn itself is outstanding, everything was spotlessly clean, comfortable with all utensils/amenities we needed. (Bed, sofas and shower all excellent). The pool and grounds are another wow! It is just magical, all the areas to explore, outside cooking facilities, the pool, all brilliant additions to what is already a fantastic holiday home. The location, being so close to the A30, is also great as it means you're just an hour or so from the coast. We had days out at Padstow, Newquay and their surrounding areas which was an unexpected bonus. Would definitely recommend the Threshing Barn to anyone looking for a holiday where you could mix complete relaxation time with some exploration time added in between. Thought it really gave us the best of both worlds.
