I've spent over 20 years in self catering cottages in Devon and Cornwall, this one was the worst. Mould in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom (and the age of the property is not and excuse for poor maintenance). Had to ask for towels, getting a response took over 5hrs, the mattresses should be condemned and totally don't recommend it for three medium sized dogs. Completed holiday early as a consequence. Won't be returning.Updated. Extremely disappointed to see the response from the owner questioning my integrity; if it wasn't so sad, it would be funny. Clearly, when owners ask for feedback, they only want positive feedback and nothing constructive. The aggressive, accusatory response also shows what kind of owner they are. As a guest, I am not responsible for the owner working nights, maybe he should delegate responsibility if he's unable to respond in a timely manner, fortunately it was only towels that were causing a concern not something more urgent. Maybe, and for good reason, he doesn't trust the caretaker, clearly they were very mistaken at the date I left, and I have receipts and photographic evidence of my returns back up North on the 13, 14, 15, to clearly demonstrate that I was no where near the property. Similarly, I have photographic evidence of my concerns regarding the property. I left a review on the 16th as that's when Feefo contacted me to do so, there was no delay. And finally, contrary to any assertion, I have not and was not looking for any refund; it was merely feedback as requested.

The peace was amazing. The cottage was lovely. It was great if you don't mind driving as the roads were narrow. Take provisions as its a drive to any shops. The only suggestion I would give is better seating inside and out, after a day of visiting places it would of been nice to curl up on something comfy. One of the beds was very squeaky but overall a nice stay.
