This delightful cottage nestles between two other houses yet offers a private and convenient base from which to explore North Devon. Close to the sandy beach at Westward Ho!, it s ideal for couples or families at any time of the year.

Near the South West Coast Path, the village of Northam with its shops and pub makes a great base from which to explore the North Devon coast. Walk or cycle along the Tarka Trail or take the public footpath along the riverbank into the Little White Town of Bideford to the south, or the village of Appledore to the north, both just 2 miles away. Also, within proximity of the cottage and just a short drive away are the seaside towns of Westward Ho! with its 2 mile long stretch of beach and the village of Instow with its yacht club, The Big Sheep family fun park and Northam Burrows Country Park. A regular bus service connects Northam to Bideford, Appledore, Instow and beyond. As you enter the cottage into the entrance hall the stairs are in front of you and the comfortable lounge on your left comfy seating, an electric wood burner effect fire and a Smart TV makes this an ideal spot to relax and catch up with a film. Back through the hallway, the dining room has a table and chairs with ample room to enjoy a homemade meal or order up a takeaway. The kitchen area follows on and is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge, while steps lead up to a utility room with a washing machine and a shower cubicle and WC. A door from this rear hallway also leads out to the back garden. Heading up the stairs you will find the two bedrooms: a twin zip and link (which can be made into a super king size on request) and a spacious double room, with an en suite bathroom with shower over bath and a WC. Stepping outside there is a pretty and private rear garden with a table and chairs on the patio and a couple of steps that lead up to a narrow stretch of lawn with established shrubs and trees on either side. There is side pedestrian access via the side gate, and this is ideal for those with bikes, buggies or surfboards and an outside tap and hose to wash off sandy paws or wetsuits. There is no allocated parking with this cottage, but you can usually park roadside nearby or in the library car park opposite (subject to availability).
