After dinner, make your way over to the sofa where you can rest your feet after an action-packed day at Shaldon Beach; throw a log in the wood burner and admire the colourful rug, supplying this room with character. As the evening comes to an end, venture upstairs to the beautifully appointed bathroom, soak amongst the bubbles and allow yourself a moment of relaxation. Be sure to take a stroll to Shaldon Beach where you can enjoy a range of activities such as, swimming, sailing, rock pool exploring and when you fancy a new scenery head to the nearby beaches Teignmouth Beach or go through Smugglers tunnel to Ness Cove beach. When the tide is out the large area of the Saltings in the middle of the estuary is accessible for shell collecting. Up the hill at the back of the village is Homeyards the botanical gardens with wonderful views over the Estuary and on clear days the Jurassic Coast. Visit the seaside town of Torquay for lunch with a spectacular sight from the marina, art galleries, fabulous gardens and the fascinating Babbacombe Model Village to see the 4 acre, fictional village. Have a wild day in the town of Paignton at Paignton Zoo, boasting over 2,500 animals or take a walk down the long stretch of sandy beach, with a promenade, traditional pier and delicious eateries to experiment.
