The mews was a good set up but felt it needs some TLC. For example, new fridge, mattress, drainage in the bathroom. If you enjoy hills then this for you. Amenities are few and far between having to use the car. There is one parking space, however additional parking is nearby down the hill. We had a good time just a bit too far away from pubs, restaurants and shops.

We stayed for 4 nights at old seaway mews. once we arrived I realised just how peaceful it was located with the sounds of the cows in the fields close by. Very spacious and lots of room, and met Jon our host as he kindly gave us the key for the gym which we didn’t end up using! We took a walk down to maidencombe beach once we had unpacked, it’s so picturesque, looks like something out of a movie set! Was worth the uphill walk back. We also took a hike into shaldon , it was a mighty up and down walk using the OS map which was very accurate across country. Once we arrived we stopped at the Ness pub for a few drinks , with a beautiful view of shaldon. We had the best fish and chips at the clipper and then we got a taxi back for £12 as the buses don’t run everyday. At the end of the road (turn left) there is a bus stop and the number 11 goes into Torquay. £6 return, definitely worth a visit. Myself and my mum spent quite a few hours here, coffee and lots of shopping and lovely little trinkets. On our last day we spent a few hours on maidencombe beach and took a walk (turn right) to the village shop (lovely little shop) and we had a few drinks at the church house pub and played cards. 20Min walk. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much, lovely peaceful location and I didn’t need to drive for 4 days which is just what we wanted ! Thanks again for a wonderful stay x

We stayed at the cottage for 4 nights, when we arrived there was a welcome pack with fresh milk bread and biscuits. The property had a utility area and a large lounge, dining and kitchen area, the bedroom had plenty if draw and wardrobe space with an ensuite bathroom. There was access to a balcony area which was great for our dogs. There are plenty of walks, and local beaches/towns are a short drive away. (We went during a heat wave and was limited to where and how long we could go out for due to having 2 dogs with us).We we're given lots of information from the owners of where to go and eat.The property was a lovely space to relax. If we return to Torquay we would stay there again.
