Cleanliness is frequently highlighted, with guests describing the cottage as spotless, immaculate, and well-kept. Only one or two minor comments about dog mess outside were noted, but these did not detract significantly from the overall impression.
The location is widely praised for its tranquillity, stunning countryside views, and proximity to Dartmoor and coastal towns. Some guests mentioned the narrow access lane as a challenge, but most found the setting ideal for relaxation and exploration.
Guests repeatedly mention the cottage's comfort, with cosy interiors, comfortable beds, and a warm atmosphere. The property is described as a relaxing home-from-home, even during colder months.

. Friendly owners. Interesting to see the racehorses. I'm giving 4 stars as opposed to 5 because the setting, within a farm and equine business wasn't as quiet as I was hoping - there was significant use of what I suppose was a farming quad bike, especially between 4 and 6.30pm. 'Luckily' it rained a lot so I was unable to sit outside, but if you went in the summer I could imagine it could get annoying.

the garden for the cottage was not private and also the side garden too. the patio doors to garden unable to lock which meant having leave left unlocked whilst out. You could not have the bathroom radiator on until the heating came on which was disappointing trying to dry wet towels.. Complaint (not happy) with Sykes, we booked this for a week and then notices 5 more days were available so booked it to make our stay longer, disappointed with Sykes as you charged two lots of booking fee of £25, this does not happen with any other rental company. surely and extension of a week we SHOULD NOT had to pay for two booking fees.
