About this property

The Gallery is has been converted by an excellent architect into a peaceful reverse level cottage. As soon as you head up the steps and through the door, you will be struck by the stylish décor with original paintings and great views of the surrounding countryside. The living area has been sited on the top floor for those vistas, with a cosy wood burning stove for snug evenings beside the fire. Next door is the big kitchen where you can prepare glorious meals. Head down the steps through the glazed doors into the garden. You will find two bedrooms on the ground floor, both en-suite and light and airy. Outside, as well as the big shared open space, you have your own secluded enclosed garden where you can sit and eat out beside the meadows. The Gallery is a lovely retreat all year round. Note: The Gallery can be booked with The Barn, The Pottery and The Music room and together they can sleep 14.

We loved the peaceful setting with the only sounds being the birdsong from the hundreds of birds in the courtyard and surrounding gardens. Very well placed for exploring the beautiful South Devon coast and plenty of great places to eat a short drive away.

The property is comfortable, well provisioned and in a beautiful location. The owners were friendly and welcoming. We would definitely return for for further holidays in the area and highly recommend.

I had brought a few things I thought I'd need but they stayed packed as everything was there - even a fresh coffee spoon measure! I would have liked a shelf in the shower room instead of having to put shampoo etc on the floor but it was a minor point. The location is convenient for setting off to different parts of the coast and, like my own home, at night it is very dark and quiet, so perfect for a good nights sleep.
