We can recommend Garden Cottage for a comfy, peaceful week away. We found that the location was good for reaching all sorts of fab' places to visit, most about 30/40 minutes drive away, some a lot closer. Garden Cottage itself has a good array of amenities. Including a washer/dryer,( you'll never believe how hard it is to find a holiday home with a washing machine!), dishwasher and Tassimo coffee machine! It was very clean, with a few bits under the sink so we could clean as we went along! Oh and the shower had really good pressure too. Much needed after a day yomping over Dartmoor! We can highly recommend The Cornwood Inn for an amazing Sunday roast and we had an awesome curry at Nandor in Ivybridge, but booking is advised as it gets VERY busy. We made it as far down as Plymouth,(the aquarium is a must visit). Dawlish, Buckfast Abbey, South Devon Steam railway to Totnes. Canonteign Falls is BRILLIANT! I could go on..(Dartmoor Zoo was a big let down so I wouldn't bother with that)!oh there was also a little welcome pack waiting for us at Garden Cottage Inc yummy biscuits & a hand written card..such a lovely, personal touch. I would definitely recommend Garden Cottage if you're looking for a fab' stay in South Devon..thank you
