Guests say

The Shed With A View receives glowing praise for its peaceful countryside setting, stunning views, and welcoming hosts. Guests consistently highlight the immaculate cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable accommodation. The property is especially appreciated by dog owners for its secure outdoor space. While access via a narrow lane is noted, most found it manageable. Thoughtful touches, such as local advice and occasional treats, enhance the experience. Minor suggestions include softer towels and improved patio maintenance, but overall, guests leave relaxed and eager to return.

Cleanliness is frequently described as immaculate, spotlessly clean, and well maintained throughout the property. Only one review mentioned towels being rough, but this was a minor point compared to the overwhelmingly positive feedback.

The rural, tranquil location with beautiful views is a major highlight. While the single-track lane is mentioned as narrow, most guests found it manageable and not a significant issue. The peacefulness and proximity to nature are highly valued.

Guests consistently praise the comfort of the bed, the spaciousness, and the cosy atmosphere. The property is described as warm, bright, and ideal for relaxation. A few minor comments about heat on sunny days and patio door ease, but overall comfort is rated very highly.

The property is well equipped with modern appliances including a dishwasher, washing machine, and a well-stocked kitchen. Guests appreciate the secure outdoor area for dogs and the availability of books and games. Minor suggestions include recliners for the outside space and grab handles in the shower.

The hosts are repeatedly described as friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, often providing local advice and, on occasion, welcome treats such as cream tea or homegrown produce. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Well equipped property for couples, situated in idyllic mid-Devon countryside with lovely views from the decking. Very isolated so private and quiet, situated at the end of a no-through-way single carriage narrow lane, with cows and butterflies in abundance. Pleasant welcoming host in the neighbouring farmhouse. Good touring base (car needed) with both north and south Devon coasts reachable on day trips. Plenty on National Trust properties nearby also. Highly recommended.
