What an absolutely lovely property, we felt right at home the moment we stepped inside the door. The welcome pack from the owners was unexpected and delicious, scones with strawberries and clotted cream. The shady outside dining area was like being in the Mediterranean and provided a welcome escape from the heat. Perfect peaceful getaway, we wished we'd booked for two weeks instead of one, as the time went too quickly. Lots of local interest in National Trust properties, Buckland Abbey, Cotehele, Saltram, Coletan Fishacre and Compton Castle with trips on the river Dart and a steam train from Paignton to Dartmouth. We will return.

An amazing cottage, with everything you need for a weeks stay,we loved the upside down living with beautiful views of the country side watching the owners chickens, dogs and cows in the next field.we alfresco dined every night in the private small courtyard. we was very lucky with the heatwave for this weeks stay.we was also pleasantly surprised with a welcome pack consisting of clotted cream and jam scones,Prosecco and an array of fresh roses on the table. A great central location visiting Plymouth, Mothecombe, and the local town of ugborough. We went to a local pub Ship inn it’s quite pricey but food was amazing better than your average pub food . Would 100% recommend this cottage and would love to stay again
