Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the stunning Start Bay coastline, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many popular events such as the annual Dart Music Festival, Dartmouth Food Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta. This historic town boasts interesting landmarks, such as Dartmouth Castle, the Britannia Royal Naval College, and the National Trust’s Greenway House just a short ferry ride away. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through the rolling countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat or ferry trip across to Kingswear, on to Brixham, or down the river to the village of Dittisham. Little touches such as fresh flowers, hospitality pack and a personalised note were lovely. Parking was a real bonus but as described it was very difficult to get the car - a Ford Focus - both in and out - in fact it took us nearly half an hour to get the car out on departure. Would definitely stay here again.

Well equipped would benefit from maybe a tumble dryer. Would definitely recommend this property. This was our second stay at 7, Charles St and will hopefully be able to book again in the future. The parking at the property is worth the time trying to get in, you have to just take your time then shut down the electric door and forget about it.

The location is excellent and my Skoda Fabia fitted into the parking area easily. We would certainly stay there again.
