Begin your morning in Dartmouth where you can explore Dartmouth Museum, Royal Avenue Gardens or spend the day relaxing upon the sands of Sugary Cove Beach; also close by is Dartmouth Golf and Country Club, Woodlands Family Theme Park, the stunning Blue Flag accredited Blackpool Sands, as well as Dartmouth Castle, a great place to immerse yourself in the local history. Guests can jump on the quaint ferry boat, which is around 200 yards away, to go across the river to see Greenway, a beautiful country house which was once Agatha Christie's childhood home. Alternatively, head to Totnes to enjoy the Totnes market, Totnes Museum or treat your loved ones at Roly’s Fudge Shop before sampling a range of restaurants, pubs and cafés that all reside close by. Further afield, travel to the Dartmoor National Park where you can saviour a paddle at Cadover, wander the eerie Wistman’s Woods embark on a range of walking, hiking and cycling trails with stunning views of the natural landscape. However you choose to while the days away in Devon, do it from the pleasant base of Sunnybank.

Dittisham, a charming village in the South Hams situated on the banks of the River Dart and surrounded by open farmland, is a popular tourist destination. Walk till you reach the waterfront amid the peaceful alleyways surrounded with charming stone homes and lush gardens. The quayside in Dittisham is frequently thought of as the centre of the community. Visit the Anchorside Café for breakfast and enjoy the breathtaking views of the river. On the dinghy pontoon, try your hand at some crab-catching with the youngsters. Go to the well-known pink Ferry Boat Inn (or FBI as it is known locally). Reaching Greenway, the former holiday home of the legendary Agatha Christie, requires ringing the ferry bell and crossing the Dart. There are several attractive treks and sailing courses available for outdoor recreation. Just a short drive or ferry ride away, the harbour town of Dartmouth has a variety of stores, a movie theatre, many of dining options, and even a castle. If you travel farther afield, there are many wonderful beaches to visit, including Blackpool and Slapton Sands, as well as popular cities like Salcombe, Totnes, and Brixham.
