We really enjoyed our holiday at Riverdene. It is very well stocked with treats left out for us. The most beautiful views from the lounge and bedroom. You can get either the lower or higher ferry. Both are foot or car ferries. The lower ferry is £2.50 each way for an adult. The higher ferry is only £1 each way. It is a longer walk to the higher ferry but a lovely walk along the path along the estuary. The bus stop nearby as well if you want a trip out. We visited Brixham and Torquay from the bus in Kingswear. They both have lovely walks out of the centre. We also went to Salcombe. Cross on the ferry to Dartmouth and catch the bus to Kingsbridge. There you can get a bus to various places but we love Salcombe. We also spent time in Dartmouth. There are beautiful views also if you climb higher up on the coastal path across to Dartmouth. We would advise not to drive along Higher Street itself as it is very narrow. You can park up near to the cottage to unload.

We had a lovely ten day stay here while we were house hunting in the area and it was wonderful! Great location, walking distance to everything, and so cozy and comfortable to come home to at night. It was stocked with everything we needed, lovely towels and linens, plenty of cookware and fresh flowers and fruit. We would definitely recommend this cottage for your next trip to Dartmouth.
