About this property

Set in historic Warfleet overlooking the Creek, this famous Grade II listed building has been a paper mill, a bakery, an outstanding brewery and, most recently, the Dartmouth Pottery. Picturesque Dartmouth is only a 10-15 minute walk from the Pottery, with stunning views of the River Dart along the way, and, in the other direction, you're only a short distance from the Dartmouth Castle and tearooms.

This luxury ground floor apartment is accessed from the building’s communal area. This leads into the hallway of the apartment with access to all rooms, with three steps down to a spacious open plan living, dining and kitchen area. This light and airy area boasts oak flooring and original stone features, plus large picture windows with views across to Warfleet Creek. The living area is furnished with two large leather sofas, whilst the dining area has a contemporary wooden dining table and five leather dining chairs. The modern, well equipped kitchen area has beautiful granite work surfaces, and there is an additional utility cupboard housing a washing machine and iron.

The luxurious master bedroom has a King-size bed and en suite shower room, whilst the second bedroom has a double bed. All duvets, pillows, bed linen and hand/bath towels are provided. In addition to the en suite is a luxurious family bathroom.

Adjacent to the property is a small communal seating area, or take a short walk down to picturesque Warfleet where you can enjoy ample benches with waterside views, a small beach and rock pools at low tide.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the stunning Start Bay coastline, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many popular events such as the annual Dart Music Festival, Dartmouth Food Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta. This historic town boasts interesting landmarks, such as Dartmouth Castle, the Britannia Royal Naval College, and the National Trust’s Greenway House just a short ferry ride away. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through the rolling countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat or ferry trip across to Kingswear, on to Brixham, or down the river to the village of Dittisham. For those seeking sandy beaches, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular beaches just a stone's throw from Dartmouth.

It was clean, comfortable, with everything you could need for a relaxing break. Parking was great and on the same level as the apartment so no hauling cases and bags up stairs, with just one step up between the entrance lobby and the apartment. The location was fantastic with a pleasant stroll into Dartmouth to the left and a short walk to the castle to the right. With the walls being around 2 feet thick it was surprisingly quiet with no noise from the other apartments. It's really nice modern apartment in a great development of the old pottery building and would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

Well equipped and comfortable. Lovely view across the cove. Great to have a parking space too. We walked into town every day, lots of choice for restaurants. Can't wait to return.
