This delightful quaint cottage is the ideal place to stay for discovering what the beautiful town of Dartmouth has to offer.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the stunning Start Bay coastline, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many popular events such as the annual Dart Music Festival, Dartmouth Food Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta. This historic town boasts interesting landmarks, such as Dartmouth Castle, the Britannia Royal Naval College, and the National Trust’s Greenway House just a short ferry ride away. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through the rolling countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat or ferry trip across to Kingswear, on to Brixham, or down the river to the village of Dittisham. For those seeking sandy beaches, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular beaches just a stone's throw from Dartmouth.

Gone are the home made cakes and bottle of wine. Cottage needs some work. Microwave fire risk (got very hot on the outside), fridge plastic shelf cracked (as it was last year!!!), towel rail in top bathroom never got hot (air locked?),not enough black bin bags and black mold in top bathroom.gutters blocked (rain water overflows onto bedroom window). Good location and view.

Fabulous views of the river from both main bedrooms. The welcome hamper was a nice touch with local produce. We would definitely recommend this cottage.

The upper two floors of the cottage were bright, and the furnishings very comfortable. There was quite a substantial discoloured stain on one of the comfy chairs on the middle floor which was very off-putting. Downstairs in the kitchen/lounge area was slightly disappointing. It doesn't appear as comfy and bright as the photos online suggest. There was a severe lack of storage space for food. In fact, there were no spare cupboards available meaning that we could not do a big shop to feed the five of us - we had to buy items daily. The outside area was lovely to sit in.
