Guests say

Harbourside in Dartmouth is highly praised for its stunning views, prime location, and well-equipped kitchen. Guests appreciate the cleanliness and comfort, though some mention minor maintenance issues. The property's challenging access for those with mobility issues is noted, yet the overall experience is cherished, with many expressing a desire to return.

The property is generally described as clean and spotless, with only a few comments about carpet stains and particles. Regular maintenance like steam cleaning could enhance this aspect further.

The location is exceptional, offering breathtaking views and proximity to the town centre. The convenience of the location is consistently highlighted by guests.

Guests find the apartment spacious, comfortable, and well-furnished, contributing to a relaxing stay. The presence of a second shower adds to the comfort, despite issues with the main shower.

The property is well-equipped, particularly the kitchen, but there are comments about the need for better maintenance, such as unblocking drains and addressing the dissolving carpet. The lack of a microwaveable container and recycling facilities were also noted.

While guests are pleased with the overall equipment and amenities, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

About this property

One of Dartmouth’s most sought-after apartments, Harbourside occupies a commanding position on the water’s edge, offering stunning views across Dartmouth Harbour to the colourful, picturesque village of Kingswear, historic Dartmouth Castle and the shimmering sea beyond.

Spacious, light and airy, this beautifully appointed retreat is quietly situated yet just a short stroll from the heart of Dartmouth, placing you near all that this celebrated harbour town has to offer.

Step inside to discover a wonderfully inviting open-plan living space, where a well-equipped kitchen flows into a stylish dining area and comfortable sitting room, complete with a sofa and armchairs. Pour yourself a favourite drink and settle beside the large bay window, where sailing yachts, ferries and fishing boats drift and bustle across the sparkling water in an ever-changing tableau.

Both bedrooms are beautifully appointed — a generous king, complete with its own private balcony and en-suite, and a well-presented twin with en-suite shower room. Wake to the sound of the harbour and take your morning coffee on the balcony as the first ferries cross below.

Beyond your door, Dartmouth’s boutique shops, galleries, celebrated restaurants and welcoming pubs are all within easy reach, along with spectacular walks along the South West Coast Path and a wonderful array of river and coastal cruises. Just across the water, the Dart Valley Steam Railway departs from Kingswear, offering a magical journey through the Devon countryside. For those wishing to venture further, a golf course and spa, the popular Woodlands Family Theme Park and the beautiful Blue Flag-awarded Blackpool Sands beach are all within just four miles.

Harbourside is the kind of place guests return to year after year — and it’s not hard to see why.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. A relaxing location in South Devon.

However once you are there it is so worth it ! Beautifully equipped apartment - I could not fault the kitchen Really delightful 'feel' to the place and a short walk into town Tiny niggles only - needed more black sacks for rubbish - as all waste must be put in black sacks Would've liked a sensor operated light on the outside of the building for return to the apartment in the dark and the rain. Quite dodgy in total blackness

Harbourside is exceptionally well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a wonderful stay. We enjoy our stays there very much ,, Would not want to stay anywhere else in Dartmouth. Thank you to the owners who keep it up together. Merry Christmas

We spent many happy hours sitting in the bay window watching the boats going up and down the river, and the ferries crossing back and forth to Kingswear. The property was very comfortable and warm, well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. We didn't know Dartmouth, so were surprised to find the apartment was closer to the town centre than we expected - a very easy walk. Don't be put off by the description of how many steps you need to climb to reach it, as long as you're careful it's well worth the effort. We would definitely stay there again.
