Guests consistently praise the spacious, well-equipped apartment with stunning river views and the convenience of private parking. The property's central location in Dartmouth is highly appreciated, and the cleanliness is often highlighted as exceptional. While some guests mention the need for updates to furniture and bathroom facilities, the overall experience is very positive, with many planning return visits.
The apartment is frequently described as very clean, with several reviews highlighting exceptional cleanliness. One review mentions dust, but this seems to be an isolated comment amidst overall high praise for the property's tidiness.
The central location in Dartmouth, with its proximity to local amenities and the inclusion of private parking, is highly valued by guests. The scenic views add to the location's appeal, making it a standout feature.
Comfort is generally well-received, with guests finding the apartment and beds comfortable. However, there are mixed opinions on the firmness of mattresses and the comfort of the sofas, suggesting room for improvement.
Facilities are considered excellent by some, particularly the well-equipped kitchen. Criticisms include the need for updates to sofas and showers, and some minor maintenance issues. The presence of good quality cutlery and crockery is noted, but there's a call for improvements in the bathrooms.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

The apartment was warm and comfortable and we appreciated the new shower in the en suite, a real improvement. There was one thing that we missed - somewhere to hang our coats! Coming in with very wet coats, it would be really helpful to have some hooks in the hallway. Much as we like the paintings perhaps it would be useful to replace the one behind the door with some coat hooks? We were also surprised at the very strong paint smell in the corridors. When we visited in October there was some maintenance and updating happening but surely the paint smell should have gone by now. Obviously this is not a reflection on the apartment, more a comment in general. However, as always, a lovely holiday in our favourite place. Weâve been visiting Dartmouth for 30+ years and still love it as much as we did the first time.

It is very comfortable and well equipped, as well as spacious. My only slightly negative points are, the low water pressure (which I assume is what it is for the area), and as reported when I handed back the keys, a couple of issues with the en-suite shower. The riser rail for the shower head is loose at the bottom, and I think the shower head and hose should be replaced. In addition, one of the shower doors has a tendency to come away from its track at the bottom. That said, we would be happy to book this apartment again, if we come to Dartmouth.

Our only gripe was the fair which arrived at the beginning of the week. We knew it was Regatta week, and did see a small addition to the listing which said the fair was on the carpark opposite. However we did not realise that it would be literally the first thing we saw from the windows! The noise and general disturbance was horrendous and we ended up spending each day and most of the evening elsewhere - not at all what weâd planned. So we wonât be visiting in Regatta week again. However the apartment was clean, and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we could need. Perhaps the larger sofa could do with changing, but the other one was fine. The underground parking is a huge bonus, pity the shutter was broken but apparently the work is due to be done. Definitely the biggest apartment weâve stayed in at Dartmouth House, and one weâd stay in again - just not during Regatta week!
