5 Dartmouth house opens into an entrance hallway, with access to all rooms, including a large open plan kitchen, living and dining room. The kitchen area is equipped with a range of base and wall units with integrated kitchen appliances including electric oven, microwave, four-ring gas hob, fridge freezer, and dishwasher. A separate utility cupboard houses the washing machine. The dining area is furnished with a round wooden dining table with four matching chairs, whilst the sitting area comprises a three-seater sofa, coffee and side tables, flatscreen Smart TV and DVD player, a selection of books, DVDs and games. Overlooking Dartmouth and towards the River Dart, a Juliet balcony makes this a light and bright space.

This historic town boasts interesting landmarks, such as Dartmouth Castle, the Britannia Royal Naval College, and the National Trust’s Greenway House just a short ferry ride away. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through the rolling countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat or ferry trip across to Kingswear, on to Brixham, or down the river to the village of Dittisham. For those seeking sandy beaches, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular beaches just a stone's throw from Dartmouth.

Everything was spotless, instructions very clear. It is an ideal location for the Royal Naval College (we were visiting my son there). It seemed like it was a special place for the Owner, and we did our very best to respect it and all the memories there.

These are very nice apartments and well equipped. No. 5 is starting to look a little dated but was fine for our weekâs stay. If being picky, we found it a little dark for our liking and it could be said that thereâs too much unnecessary furniture. If the sofa was more into the middle of the room it would benefit from the natural light from the doors. We found the bed too be far too hard. Otherwise we appreciated the variety of kitchenware. One minor thing; the key fob did not operate the parking shutter. On checking with the local agent it appears this has been reported to owners and yet has not been resolved. Itâs a pity because this was not a cheap accommodation. Overall though we enjoyed Dartmouth and our stay at 5 Dartmouth House.
