Overview

Fairview is a spacious three-storey town house situated in an elevated position and commanding a warm sunny spot overlooking the rooftops of Dartmouth and the River Dart beyond. The property has been recently refurbished including oak flooring on the ground floor. To the rear of the property is a terraced garden with a sunny patio seating area with a bbq. There is a further terrace with a pergola and small enclosed lawn area, perfect for those summer evening soirees. To the front of the property is a small terrace with seating. Single car space immediately outside (medium-sized car length only).

Dining/Living

Spacious open plan dining/living room. A contemporary feel welcomes you by way of a stunning glass dining table and contemporary chairs which seats up to eight people. Sitting room has a 3-seater and a 2-seater sofa. Entertainment is provided by a 32 inch flat-screen TV with Freeview, DVD player, WI-FI, CD Player with i-Pod/MP3 facility. For those cooler evenings a wood-burning stove is available for a cosy night in.

Bathrooms

Situated on the first floor is the modern family bathroom with wc and bath/shower over. A second bathroom is located on the ground floor with a stylish wet-room with wc.

Sleeping

Situated on the first floor are three bedrooms.

Bedroom 1 is situated at the front of the property and has a double bed with a large wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Bedroom 2 is situated at the rear of the property and has a double bed with a small wardrobe in the alcove area and a chest and drawers.

Bedroom 3 is at the front of the property with a single bed and a large chest of drawers.

Bedroom 4 is accessed by a wooden staircase, this room has twin beds, wardrobe and chest of drawers. This attic room is a large airy space which also benefits from a desk and seating area and roof-windows with views across the Dartmouth rooftops. It is considered that small children should always have adult supervision when using this staircase.

Outside

Sunny garden with steps up to the first terrace with a large outdoor patio table and chairs and a built-in barbecue. A further seating area with pergola to second terrace and small enclosed lawn to third terrace. All perfect for al fresco dining on a warm summers evening.

Rear Garden: Steep steps lead directly up to the first sitting terrace. Here there is a large outside table (the parasol generally stored in the Conservatory. The built-in barbecue is adjacent.

There are three futher terraces: a pergola with seating area, a grassed area and finally a raised deck area with a small ‘summer-house’.

Please note: Small children should be supervised when using the steep stairs to the third floor, and in the garden

Much of the town of Dartmouth is built on the steep sides of valleys and consequently access to dwellings frequently involves steep steps. Similarly, the rear access to our garden also requires many steps.

Our rear garden is not suitable for small children without constant parental attention.

The small grassed terrace does have an enclosure and gate and there is also a gate to separate the main seating terrace from the steps back down to the house.

The stairs from the first floor up to the second floor twin bedroom has ‘alternating treads’ and is not suitable for very small children unsupervised.

Parking

There is parking to the front of the property for one average size car. There are steps up from the parking to the front door and a flight of steps up from the back door to the first garden terrace. These steps are not suitable for very small children without constant parental supervision.

Security Deposit

This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £250, which is payable to Original Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.
