The property looks just as it does in the photos and if anything felt more spacious. The beds were comfy, the linen and towels were of good quality and everything was spotless. The kitchen was very well appointed with everything you could possibly require along with a large fridge freezer, microwave, coffee machine and drinks fridge. The dishwasher worked well but you had to have the kickboard off in order to open and close it - which was only a minor inconvenience. There was a utility cupboard up near the bedrooms and it had a washing machine, ironing board, iron and hoover if required. As we were a multi generational group it was brilliant having the separate lounge as the teenagers used that as their evening retreat and we were more than happy in the kitchen/diner as the sofa was large and comfy. This property is ideal for a Dartmouth stay where you can park and leave your car for the duration of your stay (using the handy permit) as everything is on your doorstep. There are plenty of restaurants, pubs and coffee shops within steps of the front door and I would highly recomment Rockfish (takeaway), Little Pizza (Opposite), Alf Resco (for breakfast) and Kendricks (next door) if you dont fancy cooking all the time. We used the local COOP for everyday essentials (50metres from front door) and the M&S foodhall (5 mins away). We all agreed it was the perfect place and wouldn't hesitate to return. I wouldn't recommend this property if you struggle with stairs as you need to go up them to access the property and then for every room but they are totally manageable if you are mobile. The seagulls were very noisy on our first night as we had the windows open but it was quieter for the rest of the stay. As the property is based right in the heart of everything you can't expect it to be totally quiet but I was surprised about how peaceful it was after the shops had shut and the day trippers had left.

We did have an issue with the front door lock, which was promptly dealt with. ( I had deadbolted it by accident and couldn’t get out. Might be something you could mention in the instructions? We are from the USA so we may have just been unfamiliar with UK locks) A brighter light over the dining table would be lovely, as we weren’t able to do our puzzle or sketch after it got dark. But everything else was great! Dartmouth is delightful, and the apartment was the perfect location for the most wonderful holiday. We will definitely be back.
