About this property

22 Above Town is an attractive, three-storey, semi-detached house in the wonderful town of Dartmouth, Devon. Ideal for families or groups of friends to come and enjoy themselves, this holiday home is in a great location, with proximity to the beach, a Sky glass TV and lots of home comforts for your self-catered stay. Inside, find the kitchen/diner on the first floor where you can whip up home-cooked meals, and there is even a handy dishwasher for your convenience. From here, the sitting room on the second floor provides space to relax after a day out, with views of the River Dart and over to Kingswear from the Velux windows. When sleep calls, you will find the first and second bedrooms on the ground floor furnished with sumptuous king-size beds for you to enjoy, one of which has an en-suite for privacy. The third and fourth bedrooms are great for kids, home to a cute children's bunk on the second floor and a twin with a zip and link feature which is also perfect for a couple or friends sharing. Outside, the compact courtyard, accessed off the main bedroom, is furnished with two chairs, an ideal place for a morning coffee or indeed, a glass or two of wine during the evening. Venture out for the day and explore the town; Dartmouth is a historic town home to several attractions, including Blackpool Sands, National Trust - Greenway, Dartmouth Castle, Bayard's Cove Fort. Dartmouth is a great destination for tourists who are looking to explore the history and culture of England, and you can also find a good selection of pubs and restaurants. Why not take a trip to Paignton for the day? There's the world-famous Paignton Zoo Environmental Park, with its variety of animals from across the globe; Paignton Pier with its wonderful views of the bay; Young's Park with its playground, mini-golf and putting green; and Cockington Court with its picturesque gardens and thatched cottages, so there is something for everyone! Whatever the weather, 22 Above Town is a holiday home you can return to year after year.

Dartmouth is in South Devon's South Hams, on the River Dart estuary. Dartmouth is one of Devon's most popular tourist sites, located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty along the coast. It has a beautiful waterfront, tiny streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants, and art galleries, and many local events such as the Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta. Dartmouth is home to the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail, and numerous calm country lanes. The Dartmouth Steam Railway to Paignton and a boat ride to Kingswear and Brixham are must-dos.

We had a fantastic week here so comfortable, thank you!

Only criticism is the downstairs bedrooms were cold and felt a little damp at times, we couldn’t figure out the heating for these bedrooms or the downstairs bathroom. Would also be useful to give more details about the walk to the house being very steep and the roads are not suitable unless you have a small car. Parking is also a nightmare and had to keep moving the cars between park and ride and street parking.

Would definitely visit again. Avoid the street parking, we used the park and ride and got the bus back in.
