This unique, twin sectioned Shepherds’ Hut is positioned at the front of the orchard; with laurel hedging affording privacy to soak up the superb views across the valley from either your own separate bedroom with king-size bed, or relaxing on the armchairs in the open plan living area. Inside you will discover this unique Shepherds Hut comes with everything you could wish for a romantic holiday for two. Offering ample space to prepare and enjoy home cooked meals, the living section is equipped with a foldaway table, electric cooker and fridge with freezer compartment. Light the wood burning stove for a cosy winter evening whilst you enjoy your favourite TV show or listen to some music through the Amazon Echo. A shower room with walk in shower is situated to the rear of the bedroom section and comes with your own fluffy bathrobes and towels. Outside there is a spacious patio to the side with your own private hot tub, Chiminea, loveseat and table and chairs. Note: This property can be booked with Refs 988227,1000434 and 1000432, sleeping eight guests altogether.
The small rural North Devon village of High Bickington is set in the area known as 'Tarka country'. On a ridge above the Taw Valley boasting views towards Exmoor and Dartmoor, the village offers a Post Office, two pubs, a holistic beauty salon and Libbaton golf course. The small village of Umberleigh is only five miles away and has a railway station where trains run on the Tarka Line to Barnstaple or Exeter. Within driving distance is the historic town of Great Torrington, where you will find independent shops and Dartington glassworks where visitors can watch in wonder at the glassblowers, plus on the outskirts of town is Rosemoor, a garden of national importance with forty acres to delight and inspire a wide range of visitors. This area of North Devon has something for everyone including country walks, fishing and golf, as well as good access to a selection of wonderful beaches.

Such a beautiful shepherdâs hut in a wonderful location. Everything was perfect from the welcome hamper to the superb hot tub and the fun golf buggy! We experienced every sort of weather but it made the holiday even more special, especially when it snowed! With the wood burner lit it was so cosy, though the under floor heating was enough in itself. The perfect place for some rest and relaxation but close enough to get to a range of amenities and coastal towns. Thank you Peter and Lisa for a wonderful stay!

Every single need was catered for and every inch of the accommodation had been used to maximise its storage etc. The underfloor heating provided great heat and we didnât need to use the log burner. We had one night of torrential rain but the roof is so well insulated, we couldnât hear it much at all. Hot tub was lovely and warm and immaculately clean. We would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone wishing to stay locally.

Underfloor heating keeps it really warm, didn't need to light the wood burner one during our stay. Hot tub really spacious for two and private, however privacy is at the expense of the lovely view which is hidden behind the the laurel hedge when you are in the tub. If you want the view then book one of the other huts, they all look lovely, but for privacy book Little Silver Pheasant.
