Snaptrip says

Monks Cottage in Braunton is a characterful and charming property, praised for its cleanliness, peaceful location, and comfort. Guests love the historical features like low beams and uneven floors, which add to the cottage's quaintness. The enclosed garden is a hit with dog owners, and the modern kitchen and bathroom are appreciated. Its proximity to beaches and local amenities makes it an ideal spot for a relaxing break, despite some mentions of low ceilings and steep stairs.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently note the property's cleanliness, with one review highlighting it as 'very clean'. The presence of fluffy towels and well-maintained white goods further supports a high cleanliness standard.

The cottage's location is frequently described as peaceful and ideal for accessing local beaches and towns. Its proximity to public footpaths and a quiet village setting are also appreciated, although one review mentions a steep hill.

Comfort is a strong point, with guests finding the beds comfy and the cottage warm even in December. However, the low ceilings and steep stairs may pose challenges for taller guests, slightly impacting the comfort score.

While the reviews mention modern kitchen and bathroom facilities, there is not enough information on the overall maintenance of the property to provide a comprehensive score. No specific issues are highlighted, but the lack of detail requires a 'null' score.

There are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, while the property seems well-equipped and accommodating, a 'null' score is appropriate due to the absence of relevant information.

The cottage could do with some TLC. Mirror’s left on windowsills with sun reflection these can cause fires, not good with a thatched roof.

Quirky cottage in a fairly isolated location. The local pub, the Williams Arms, was very good but walk is down/up very steep hill on narrow road with no pavement. Cottage has good facilities, except wifi. There is a router but still the signal is very weak. There is a tiny tv which has Netflix but the signal wasn't strong enough to actually launch Netflix. Heating is storage heaters so very little control, 2 of the bedrooms were incredibly hot!

Really lovely position in a small hamlet. Lots of kitchen equipment including cafetière, teapot. A nice walk to Williams Arms (uphill on the way back). Small enclosed garden, we took our camping chairs, which I would recommend if you want to sit in the garden and relax. The car needed to go to the beaches. We had beautiful weather so feel very blessed.
