Upstairs are three bedrooms; a king-size double with en-suite shower room, a bunk bed with double bed underneath, sleeping three people, with a TV and DVD Player, plus a further bunk room. Outside is driveway parking for two cars, a small front lawn and a large, enclosed rear patio garden with furniture and a 5-man hot tub, perfect for adding a luxury end to your day. The village of Braunton is a short stroll away, with a host of restaurants and takeaways, as well as a small selection of shops and two museums. Head towards the North Devon AONB and discover the Medieval Braunton Great Fields, the sandy beach of Saunton Sands, popular with surfers, and Braunton Burrows, a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest and the largest area of sand dunes in Europe. Join the South West Coast Path and head north towards Croyde to enjoy its beautiful sandy beach, backed by sand dunes, as well as the National Trust's Baggy Point and the popular surfing beach of Woolacombe, surrounded by sand dunes, rugged cliffs and incredible views. Visit the town of Barnstaple, less than six miles away on the River Taw, where you can join the Tarka Trail, which runs from coast to coast and offers 180 miles of walking and cycling trails, while south along the coast will bring you to Westward Ho!, Bideford and Clovelly, with more picturesque sandy beaches and family attractions such as The Big Sheep to enjoy. Braunton village is at the centre of the North Devon Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and incorporates Braunton Burrows, the largest area of sand dunes in Europe and a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest. A couple of miles from the village is Saunton Sands Beach, a three-mile stretch of beautiful west-facing sandy beach, backed by the sand dunes, where you can enjoy surfing or a leisurely picnic. Just five minutes around the headland is Croyde Bay, an excellent surfing beach, and round the next headland is Woolacombe Bay, another 3-mile stretch of beautiful sandy beach. There are some fabulous golf courses in the area including Saunton, Portmore or Royal North Devon golf courses. The South West Coast Path from Braunton to Instow follows part of the Tarka Trail along the estuary of the River Taw. This is part of North Devon’s Biosphere Reserve and much of the route follows old railway trackbeds, which now serve as an easy level route for walkers as well as cyclists. An understated part of Devon, with plenty to do for coast and country lovers alike.
