Lodge 88 is a Finnish timber lodge is set in a quiet park adjacent to the Hartland Forest park in Woolsery, close to acres of beautiful woodland in North Devon. On the edge of the park, and with a lovely rural outlook, this single-storey lodge will appeal to those seeking a quiet retreat and is ideal for avid fishers due to the access to coarse fishing on site. With lofted and pine boarded interior throughout, and with the added benefit of the central heating being thermostatically controlled, this delightful lodge has an open-plan living area consisting of a well-equipped kitchen with a dining area and a sitting area, from which there are patio doors leading to a large veranda. Rustle up meals for your group in the kitchen to enjoy at the dining table as you catch up on the day's events. From here, kick off your shoes and snuggle in with your loved ones to watch TV for the evening. When sleep calls, head to the bedrooms for some well-deserved rest after a long day of exploring your surroundings; the lodge hosts three bedrooms including one en-suite kingsize bedroom, one room with a single bed and bunk beds and one twin room together with a family bathroom with an overhead shower where the group can freshen up and prepare for the day. Outside the lodge is a decked patio with furniture where you can relax with a refreshing drink and enjoy the lovely countryside surrounding the lodge, or perhaps escape for your morning coffee in the crisp air before the rest of the group rises. The spectacular Hartland Quay and world-renowned cliff-side village of Clovelly are close by and the dramatic coastline is just a short drive away. Take a trip to the local beaches at Sandymouth Bay and Bucks Mill for a relaxing day by the sea. If you are looking for a thrill, the major surfing beaches at Westward Ho! and Bude, are also easily reached from this lovely lodge. If you are travelling with younger guests, spend a day at The Milkyway Adventure Park and enjoy thrills and spills in the theme park before grabbing a bite to eat in the café and heading back to the lodge. A plethora of eateries await you in this scenic area; treat your family to a tradtitonal pub grub dinner at The Hart Inn, or for a delicious menu concocted with fresh and local produce, try The Farmers Arms. History buffs will enjoy an afternoon at the magnificent Hartland Abbey and Gardens, where you can soak up the rich history of the 18th century abbey and wander the well-kept grounds for an insightful and peaceful day out with the whole family. Nearby Hartland Forest encompasses hundreds of acres of Forestry Commission woodland, whilst just 5 miles away lies the village of Clovelly, renowned for its flower-strewn cottages and steep cobbled footpath leading down to the 14th Century harbour.
