This cosy, thatched cottage is located just paces from the pretty village square in Drewsteignton. After a day exploring the breathtaking Teign Gorge, settle down in front of the woodburning stove in the cosy sitting room and catch up with a favourite show or movie on the Smart TV. Allow the chef of the group to get acquainted in the smart kitchen, assisted by an electric oven and induction hob amongst the appliances, while the rest of the group prepare the dining table with crockery and cutlery. Move upstairs to discover the restful, spacious main bedroom with a kingsize bed, and a second smaller bedroom with a double underneath / single on top bunk bed giving maximum flexibility for your party. Drewsteignton sits high above the River Teign as it meanders through a spectacular steep wooded Teign Gorge. It is a chocolate box village with a cluster of ancient cob and thatched cottages surrounding a square, complete with shop, ancient church, restaurant and very pretty pub.

We would happily come again if I am working at Castle Drogo again. Only problem was the location of the microwave, it is high up and you have to sort of twist to use it. My wife found it impossible. Could it come down onto worktop level?

The local landscape is beautiful and easy to access from main roads.

It's well equipped, full of character and situated in the most unique, quaint little village. The beds are very comfortable and the crisp white bed linen is a joy to sleep in. There's plenty of hot water and good shower pressure. The cottage was spotlessly clean and more spacious than we had imagined.
