About this property

Occupying a superb location boasting stunning countryside views close to Seaton in Devon, is this tastefully presented holiday home The Water Tower. Perfect for families or couples on holiday together, the property has everything you need to make sure your holiday goes with a swing. Inside, the accommodation is stylish and contemporary and offers a real home from home for its guests. The open-plan living area is a wonderful introduction to the property and is a great space for socialising with friends and family. There is an extensive seating area which is bright and airy and the perfect place to gather together and there is a stylish dining area all set up for long, lingering meals with your party and a contemporary kitchen which is fully fitted with everything you could need for preparing delicious meals for your family or loved ones and comes complete with an attractive breakfast bar where guests can pull up a stool, pour themselves a drink and keep the designated chef company. A feature spiral staircase leads upstairs to where the two beautifully presented bedrooms are. Choose from the master king-size or the twin but both offer a welcoming sanctuary away from the excitement of the main house and are the perfect place to wake up in the morning. Grab a refreshing shower in the sleek, contemporary shower room and you’re ready to face the day. There is so much to see and do in the area it’ll be hard to pack it all in. Seaton is a wonderful place to visit and has its own tramway and the Jurassic Fun Centre as well as a good selection of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Take the tram along the coast past Seaton Marshes Nature Reserve to Colyton which is a picturesque medieval market town and well worth a visit. A short but scenic drive away is Pecorama and Beer, famous for its quarry caves, with the seaside towns of Lyme Regis and Sidmouth also nearby. For holiday memories to treasure a visit to The Water Tower Studio is a must.

Seaton is a seaside town in East Devon on the south coast. It faces onto Lyme Bay, to the west of the mouth of the River Axe with red cliffs to one side and white cliffs on the other. Axmouth and Beer are nearby. A sea wall provides access to the mostly shingle beach stretching for about a mile, and a small harbour. Seaton is on the stretch of Devon coastline, known as the Jurassic Coast, a designated World Heritage Site, and the town offers a good range of shops, friendly cafes, restaurants and pubs.

Close to the town centre which is within walking distance (although it's uphill all the way back :) and there are walks from the doorstep. I did part of the coast path which took in coast and woodland and I also visited the Donkey Sanctuary, which is free parking and entry and has a great cafe. I was only there for 2 full days so no time to do anything else. My only negative was that there was a strong smell of mould in the bathroom which I bought an airfreshener to mask. I did mention this in the visitor book so hopefully it will be addressed.

Both ovens were disgusting, dog hair was around the dining area and thick black hair was in the shower. Old bedding and towels were left and nothing clean was left for us.
