Situated in the historic town of Colyton, Devon, is The Garden Studio, a contemporary single-storey lodge. Well-positioned in the East Devon AONB and a short journey from the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, this is an ideal couple’s retreat featuring a studio-style layout and a pretty, shared garden.

With king sized bed and optional sofa bed, the studio offers flexible sleeping so is suitable for friends or families holidaying with children. Benefit from the well-equipped kitchen, sleekly designed with state-of-the-art culinary appliances to ease your self-catering stay. Gather around the dining table, where you can enjoy your home cooked meals, or head outside for a touch of alfresco dining, enjoying the peaceful garden setting. A large projector screen TV allows you to watch one of your favourite films from the comfort of the sofa, setting the scene for the perfect film night, before climbing into the plush king-size bed. Come morning, refresh in the spacious bathroom including both a bath and a shower, before heading out to explore the area.

Colyton is a town steeped in history retaining many old buildings and features of a bygone age with a wonderful selection of traditional shops, including an award winning butchers and traditional bakery, alongside galleries, artisan eateries and tea rooms. Hop on the tram and take a ride alongside the River Axe to Seaton. For nature lovers, enjoy the beautiful marshlands and reed beds with over 4km of level trails and boardwalks and home to an abundance of wildlife. A short drive will take you to the picturesque seaside town of Lyme Regis with its family friendly beaches and famous Cobb harbour together with attractions such as the aquarium, and fossil museums where you can learn about the rich geological history of this popular stretch of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast.

Colyton, a small village in East Devon, has been inhabited since 700 AD. Colyton, which is three miles from Seaton and six miles from Axmouth, contains a lot of historical structures, like St. Andrew's Church, as well as meandering alleyways filled with independent businesses. The numerous inns provide delicious food and a friendly atmosphere. From the tram stop in Colyton, you may take a relaxing ride to Seaton along the River Axe. The charming towns of Colyford, Southleigh, Northleigh, and Farway are tucked away in the Coly Valley and make for pleasant day trips.
