With off-road parking, tasteful interiors, and fantastic positioning close to the coast, this property is an ideal choice for a couple searching for their next relaxing stay.

Once you've unpacked your belongings, make yourself at home in your lovely new dwelling, where you'll find a well-equipped kitchen complete with all the appliances you'll require to whip up a delicious, romantic dinner for two that you can savour at the dining table, before you settle down in the sitting area to catch up on the day's events or enjoy a film or two on the TV. When the weather permits, step outside into the delightful, private terraced garden with seating areas where you can enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple or even enjoy your meals alfresco when the sun is shining. As day rolls into night, head upstairs to the king-size bedroom, accompanied by an elegant, en-suite shower room that offers you both the chance to refresh and rejuvenate before you finally retire for a night of well-earned slumber.

Perfectly located to explore everything that your local area has to offer, whether by foot or car. A short drive takes you to a variety of attractions including Lyme Regis with its famous Cobb harbour, beaches and great selection of restaurants. Why not try your hand at fossil hunting at nearby Charmouth or learn about the areas rich fossil history at the Heritage Centre located on the seafront. To the south you will find the picturesque fishing village of Beer and the seaside town of Seaton, with its mile long beach, heritage tramway and unmatchable views of the English Channel.

For the ultimate romantic getaway in Devon, look no further than a stay at Abode.

On the boundary of Devon and Dorset, between the nearby towns of Axminster and Charmouth, is the beautiful village of Raymon/ds Hill. The Devonshire village is best known for the surrounding forests and heathlands that the District Council protects, and the area is in close proximity to the tranquil green spaces of Trinity Hill Nature Reserve to the west, the Axe Valley Wildlife Park to the north, and the historic site of Coney's Castle to the east. The Hunters Lodge Inn, housed in a 16th-century building, offers traditional pub grub as one of the village's dining options. Visitors may also stock up on necessities at Raymonds Hill Post Office. You can brush up on local history at the Axminster Heritage Centre, stop for a beer or a glass of wine at the Axminster Inn, The Lamb Inn, or The Ale Way, or even board a train to travel to other parts of Devon, Dorset, and Cornwall at the Axminster train station by taking a short drive to the north-west.

However the driveway is not suitable for some cars. I have a regulatory car, 2013 Audi A6. The dropped curb has clearly been damaged previously. The only car parking space is down the driveway. However the dropped curb smashed the chassis and bumper of my car immediately. I provided picture and literal video evidence of the event. However according to Sykes Cottages, as the owner denied any wrong doing (of course they would), there is nothing to be done. This isn’t a suitable customer complaint procedure for a property that is not suitable for some cars. Stating, it’s the first complaint they’ve had is irrelevant, someone always has to be the first.

Thank you for the welcome pack which was very nice. The rubbish collection was abysmal, there was no provision for recycling and although we put the bin out on the allocated day, it was not collected, despite two phone calls to Lyme Bay Holidays who manage the property.
