Miller's House in Tintagel, Cornwall, is a well-received cottage praised for its idyllic, tranquil setting and friendly owner. Guests enjoy the peaceful surroundings, proximity to local attractions, and the characterful, homely feel of the property. While some minor maintenance and additional provisions are suggested, the overall experience is one of comfort and enjoyment in a beautiful location.
The property is generally described as clean, with several reviews noting its immaculate condition. However, a few comments about dust and the need for a fresh coat of paint suggest there is room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for its beauty, tranquility, and proximity to local sites and nature walks. The woodland setting and nearby stream add to the charm, making it an ideal retreat.
Guests find the cottage cosy and the beds comfortable, contributing to a pleasant stay. Some mention the need for better heating in certain rooms and more efficient outdoor seating, indicating areas for enhancement.
The facilities are generally appreciated, especially the well-equipped kitchen. However, guests mention the need for updates to utensils, furniture, and lighting, as well as the provision of towels, which affects the score.
While guests appreciate the homely touches and the owner's helpfulness, there is no consistent mention of gifts or special thoughtful gestures that would warrant a score in this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

The cottage was very comfortable and is located in a beautiful valley. We loved the garden and walking in the valley along the path beside the stream. We highly recommend this cottage and will hopefully be back to stay in future years.

The cottage was clean and spacious and all 3 of us have really enjoyed our stay at Millerâs House. We brought with us items like hand soap, loo rolls and washing up liquid but these were all provided. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you should need. The beds were really comfortable and there was plenty of storage for clothes etc.. I checked before we packed that we could use a BBQ as I couldnât see any mention in the blurb or comments. Robin kindly provided heat resistant bricks for us to place on the grass, under the BBQ, so we were very happy as we love to cook outside whilst on holiday. The cottages are set in woodland so it is very peaceful and with the sound of birds and the stream running by, it is just what you need to aid relaxation. If we were to come back to this area in the future, I would always look to stay here.
