About this property

Sitting in the vibrant seaside resort of Carbis Bay, you will find The Bach, an attractive coastal cottage at the end of a quiet, private lane offering a luxurious, secluded getaway to the breath-taking county of Cornwall, ideal for large families or groups of eight. Grab your bags from the car and climb the three external steps up to the lovely front door. Step into the bright and airy hallway with rustic painted floorboards, taking off your coats and shoes before wandering through to the stylish sitting room. Sink into the chic grey sofas and admire the coastal charm of the white decor, as you turn on the flat-screen TV and warm yourself from the heat of the sleek electric fire, or relax with the high quality surround sound music. Socialise with friends and family in the spacious farmhouse kitchen where you can spend your evenings gathered at the dining table, whilst the chef of the group makes use of the contemporary appliances as they whip up a delicious evening meal. For the mornings there is hot drinks machine to automatically make a range of beverages. Continue the evening with drinks out on the well-presented decking area, watching as the sun sets on another fantastic day spent exploring the coast (perhaps you would have viewed the day’s memories on the large 50” HD TV in the lounge). Return to the warmth of the cottage as you make your way towards the snug twin bedroom, ideal for tucking in the children and sending them off to sleep with their favourite bedtime story. There is a wall-mounted TV to keep the children amused in the mornings whilst adults enjoy a lie-in. Guests with limited mobility will be pleased by the peaceful ground-floor double, boasting both ample storage and a corner-mounted TV. Wander up the staircase to the first floor and discover a fabulous double bedroom featuring a striking and luxurious roll top bath, where you can escape the excitement and indulge in a calming soak, and there is also an en-suite cloakroom. The roll top bath has a bamboo ‘indulgence station’ for you to sip a glass of wine or read a book or iPad whilst you soak. For those wanting to enjoy music from your phone, there is a waterproof wonderboom speaker. A further double bedroom can be found across the way, home to a private en-suite shower room with the benefit of a heated towel rail. When ready to explore the true delights of Cornwall, head for the centre of Carbis Bay where you can indulge in a hearty breakfast at one of the local cafes, before taking a peaceful stroll along the Carbis Bay Beach. A great feature of The Bach is the nearby Carbis Bay station which can take guests directly to the centre of St. Ives by carriage train, whilst leaving their cars at the house. Outdoor enthusiasts will relish in a wander through Steeple Woodland Nature Reserve or a scenic hike along the South West Coast Path, whilst avid historians will enjoy a visit to the Sir Richard Francis Burton Museum over in St. Ives. Visitors can also delight in a trip to Tate St Ives or climb St Ives Head for superb views of the bay. Learn to catch a wave at one of the many nearby beaches or meet the charming wildlife at Paradise Park and JungleBarn. Live unforgettable moments with your loved ones at The Bach.

Resting peaceful on the Cornwall coast, you will find the breath-taking village of Carbis Bay. Vibrant local bars and pubs serving tasty hot food line the pretty streets, waiting for your arrival. Embark on a scenic hike along the magnificent South West Coast Path or bask in the sunshine of one of the many sandy beaches in the area. Learn to catch a wave with surfing lessons in St Ives before admiring eye-catching art at the Tate.
