Ideal for fresh air dining or an evening G&T, the sun soaked patio overlooks a large garden that is both spacious and private, so for children (and adults) who need space to run free, there's plenty of it.

Three inviting bedrooms offer guests their own sanctuaries to retreat to after days spent sunning on the beach or languishing in the surf. Elegant and airy, the rooms feature beautiful beds, deeply comfortable mattresses and cotton linen with wonderful design elements like brass peacock reading lamps, Victorian bamboo tables, a rattan headboard and a traditional Provencal Farmhouse four poster frame. The master bedroom boasts its own fabulous shower room, and a family bathroom offers that all important space for morning soaks and de-sanding after the beach.

Tucked into the dramatic dune-scattered landscape on the edge of Upton Towans Nature Reserve, The Dunes development incorporates locally sourced materials and a sympathetic architecture that allows it to effortlessly blend in with the environment. Gwithian Beach lies a short, meandering stroll away, with the Cornish seaside towns of Hayle and St Ives within easy reach.

Gravel path and parking lie to the front of the house with a side entrance gate leading to a beautiful secluded large back garden.

The front door leads into a bright entrance hallway with a 1920s faux bamboo coat rack and French bleached oak antique chest of drawers. The walls pop with colour from a fabulous original 1970s Folies Bergere poster and Italian shield mirror. The living area is accessed to the left and the bedrooms to the right. Rustic wooden floors throughout with underfloor heating.

Living area

Open-plan living with a kitchen and dining area, this sunlight soaked room leads out to the patio and secluded private garden through a large sliding door.

Feature furniture pieces include a brass and glass topped mid-century coffee table, wrought iron French drinks trolley, with a flat screen Smart TV on an antique 18th century, bleached oak geometric chest of drawers.

These sit alongside the sumptuous and roomy L-shaped sofa and plush Italian velvet armchair which provide seating for seven. Faux fur throws, tactile soft furnishings and a wood-burning stove add comfort and cosiness to the room

Kitchen

Open-plan with the living and dining room, the kitchen features a breakfast bar with four French Riviera bamboo and leather bar stools. Verdant green pops come from the shade of a brass wave lamp and an evocative painting. Original shelving made by local carpenters out of single planks of Cornish yew provide warmth and character.

A range of large and small appliances are provided including a fan-assisted electric oven and induction hob, fridge and freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer, Nespresso machine, toaster, kettle, microwave, iron and ironing board. The added luxury of a large under-counter wine fridge is ready to keep drinks cool whatever the weather.

Cupboards are stocked with a selection of cutlery, glassware, cooking utensils and crockery to suit every need.

Dining Area

Next to kitchen, the dining area features a large 1930s French solid oak dining table with seating for all guests. A fun bamboo palm tree floor lamp adds ambient lighting and a unique beach feel.

Master Bedroom

Understated chic makes this room a beautiful place to retreat to after days spent on the beach or long lie ins. Furnished with a solid weathered oak king size bed with rattan headboard, a beautiful pair of brass peacock lamps adorn the French bedside tables. The room also has a gilt frame original painting and a brass bonsai tree wall sculpture, freestanding French mirrored armoire, small mirrored chest of drawers, laundry basket and an antique Venetian mirror.

Bedroom Two

This lovely room has views out to the garden and features a king size, antique style French four poster bed. Two turquoise ceramic artichoke side lamps rest on top of a pair of bamboo marble topped pedestal tables. A Victorian faux bamboo marble topped chest of drawers and large free standing mirrored French armoire provide storage. The room is accented with framed artwork and a brass Italian shield mirror.

Bedroom Three

Perfect for families with children and for adults alike, this room has views of the garden and features a bunk-style bed with a roomy double on the bottom and a full single overhead. An Indian antique chest of drawers perches in the corner with maritime styled table lighting. Other furnishings include a wicker occasional chair and freestanding mirrored wardrobe with storage space above and below.

Bathroom One

En-suite shower to the Master Bedroom, this room boasts a walk-in shower cubicle with handmade Mexican emerald green gloss tiles. The taps and shower (with rain head) are in a glamorous matte brass finish. An oval ceramic basin is set on a beautiful, bespoke pedestal made of Cornish Yew by local carpenters. The room also includes a tall, heated towel rail, WC, shaver point and mirror.

This modern family bathroom features white gloss metro tiles and a bathtub with shower screen and overhead shower (with rain head). The wall mounted basin has a mixer tap and an arts and crafts oval mirror. Matt gold finishes add a touch of decadence and the room includes a heated towel rail, WC and shaver point.

A stunning large secluded and private garden with a lawn and raised boarder backing onto the dunes lies to the rear of the house with gate access to the side. The Cornish granite patio area is equipped with a Weber charcoal barbecue, ready to rustle up whatever takes your fancy. A large bespoke dining table handmade by local carpenters, provides a central focus ready for long lunches, with woven rope and wooden chairs providing seating for eight.

A large clay Mexican Chimnea and fantastic Ooni Koda 12 Pizza Oven which are stored in the lockable shed.

Gravel parking for two cars is located to the front of the house with additional parking nearby.
