The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, providing ample opportunities to have fun on the water, whether it be paddle boarding, surfing and kayaking! With the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden both providing a fascinating outing for art enthusiasts, St Ives has become a vibrant hub of culture. Join the idyllic South West Coast Path and take in beautiful sea views along the way, before refuelling at a fabulous restaurant in St Ives, many of which specialise in locally caught seafood dishes. Take some time to explore the rest of Cornwall, with the world famous Eden Project within an hour and half drive, boasting a unique enclosed rainforest, while Pendennis Castle in Falmouth is one of Cornwall’s most historic landmarks, and the likes of Marazion with St Michael’s Mount and Penzance are just an easy drive away. Enjoy a refreshing break in the scenic Carbis Bay at Brynmaur.

The seaside resort Carbis Bay lies close to St Ives on the western coast of St Ives Bay. The beach is the main attraction, chosen to host the G7 conference of world leaders, this is a truly beautiful stretch of sand with a subtropical feel. The house its self is well located on a quiet road, but within easy walking distance of Carbis Bay beach and Porthminster beach, where our spaniel enjoyed his morning walk into St Ives. The owners have recently had a car port built, which is a really good addition. Plenty of space for our estate car. The gate at the back of the car port leads directly onto the terrace. The terrace has beautiful views across the bay. It is a lovely private patio and will be great for bbqs in the summer. The house when we arrived was spotless. The owners have decorated and furnished the house beautifully. The beds are very good quality (no lumpy mattresses!) and very comfy with crisp white bedding. Plenty of wardrobe space in the main bedroom, and a beautiful view across the bay. The second bedroom is either twins or king-size bed. The kitchen is well equipped, and has a full size fridge freezer. Plenty of crockery, cooking utensils etc. The dinning area is large, and very light and airy. The lounge has a the same lovely view over the bay, and it is really very easy just to sit and enjoy the view. The owners have thought of everything, and obviously put in a lot of time in effort to ensure their guests enjoy their stay. We very much enjoyed our New year's stay at Brynmaur and would definitely recommend.
