About this property

A wonderful dormer bungalow with exceptional 180 degree coastal views, set near the much admired town of Port Isaac on the North coast of Cornwall. The exterior is unassuming but inside the rooms are filled with light. Admire the views, which span from Trevose in the west to Tintagel in the east. Enter from the large drive (off the B3314) into a spacious interior with a wood burner, tasteful decor, big relaxing sofas and antique furniture set on oak wood flooring. Admire the seascape or watch a sunset from the sitting room. The kitchen and utility room are well equipped right down to a blender, steamer, plate/food warmer, champagne bucket and decanters. There are three tranquil bedrooms superbly equipped with en-suite bathrooms, TVs and extremely comfy zip and link beds. Two bedrooms are located on the ground floor which might suit those with limited mobility. There is an enclosed lawn garden for fun and sunshine filled days as well as a terrace, recliners, barbecue and fire pit. If it is the great outdoors you crave, the stunning South West Coast Path and the sandy beaches of Rock, Polzeath and Daymer Bay are less than a ten minute drive. Bliss for golfers, St Enedoc golf course, ranked as one of the world's top links courses, is an eight minute drive. Head to Padstow by ferry from Rock for a day of browsing trendy boutiques and arty shops or sampling fine seafood in one of the many restaurants, including those owned by celebrity chefs Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth. Port Isaac, home of the BBC's Doc Martin, is just 5 minutes drive. The perfect family holiday home.

Port Isaac is a small and picturesque fishing village on the Atlantic coast, until the mid nineteenth century, it was a very busy port, handling goods such as stone, coal and timber. Stunning views of the harbour can be enjoyed whilst walking along the cliff top, whilst the harbour itself provides the perfect spot to relax and while away the hours. The delightful harbourside pubs offer a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. In the summer months fishing trips can be taken from the harbour. The popular ITV series, Doc Martin, is filmed in Port Isaac, and the village was also the location for Poldark.
