A cool and contemporary beachside residence, its hillside position perched just a stroll down to the soft golden sands of Porthtowan, on Cornwall's Atlantic west coast. St Ives view is the epitome of coastal living and perfect for sharing a memorable seaside holiday with family and friends. A split level detached house, step into this light and airy interior and you will be greeted with unforgettable views of the Atlantic Ocean. The entrance hall leads into a split level kitchen diner, with steps leading up to a crisp and contemporary living space on the upper level, with doors to a balcony. There are four uncluttered pristine bedrooms on slightly different levels with two bathrooms, one being en-suite to the master bedrooms on the lower ground floor. The sun room runs the width of the lower ground floor and is the perfect spot to curl up and watch the waves as they roll into the beach. Two sun terraces overlook the beach below, no better spot to enjoy alfresco meals or evening barbecues. From the garden, you can tootle down your own pathway giving you direct access to the beach and enjoy an evening stroll on the shoreline. A hot outside shower awaits returning surfers and swimmers after a day catching waves. The village amenities are all close by where you will find all you need including a small supermarket, deli, surf shop and a handful of good pubs and restaurants. Stroll along the beach at low tide and you will find the quieter beach of Chapel Porth and as the tide ebbs back in, head back via the coastal path and marvel at the magnificent scenery. For a holiday of fun, sea, sand and surf, St Ives View is just the ticket and ideal for sharing with family and friends.
Porthtowan is a small village resting on west Cornwalls beautiful coastline, renowned for its Blue Flag beach, which at low tide exposes almost a mile and a half of fine, golden sands. Surf hire and tuition is available on the beach and there pubs cafes, a beach shop in the town. A designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, cliff top walks along the South West Coastal path feature some spectacular scenery and lead east to St Agnes or west to Portreath. The city of Truro is 10 miles brimming with fine restaurants, cafes and shops. Whilst the vibrant maritime town of Falmouth is a little over 30 minutes drive and well worth a visit for its Maritime museum and varied selection of galleries and gift shops. The house is perfectly placed and is well equipped for everything you need The views are simply stunning However the only thing which is stopping us booking this property every year for our week in Cornwall is the beds ( we noticed this has been mentioned a few times ) the mattresses are so soft and low they sink below the bed frame when trying to get out and make them very uncomfortable and I think it would be a really nice touch to have higher quality pillows and sheets etc the property isnât cheap to rent so I wasnât expecting cheap linen That is THE ONLY thing that in our opinion needs addressing Saying that we had the most wonderful time and are already looking forward to next year

Thanks you. Two very small points - I know itâs personal preference but we felt both the beds downstairs were very uncomfortable and also there was a lot of wood louse on the stairs and downstairs- our kids were delighted and loved picking them up to âre home then in the gardenâ and they didnât bother us - again probably on of those thing living by the sea but wanted to highlight it. My sister was getting married in Porthleven which is why we came to stay but we will definitely be back. Blissful week and perfect spot. Thank you.
