Guests say

Offshore is a well-received apartment in Porthtowan, praised for its cleanliness, modern amenities, and thoughtful touches like welcome gifts. Its proximity to the beach and local pubs, particularly the Unicorn, is highly appreciated, although some guests noted issues with privacy and noise. Despite minor concerns, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests eager to return.

Guests consistently noted the apartment was clean and welcoming upon arrival, with several reviews highlighting its immaculate condition. One mention of a mold issue, however, slightly impacts the otherwise stellar feedback.

The location is frequently praised for its proximity to the beach, local amenities, and the RNLI-patrolled Porthtowan beach. The convenience to Cornwall's attractions is also a plus, though privacy concerns due to foot traffic were mentioned.

The apartment is generally described as comfortable and well-appointed, with a home-from-home feel. Some guests mentioned issues with the main oven and water pressure, but these were minor compared to the overall comfort experienced.

Facilities are well-regarded, with guests appreciating the well-equipped apartment and outside decking area. However, reports of a non-functioning main oven, difficulty with the shower head, and noise from the upstairs apartment suggest some room for improvement.

Many reviews express gratitude for the thoughtful touches, such as dog blankets, toys, and welcome gifts like cream teas. While these gestures are warmly received, it is important to note that such gifts are subject to availability and not guaranteed.

There is a mold problem, which is really bad. We have allergies against mold, which made it impossible to sleep in one room. The apartment upstairs is so loud. If we knew these things beforehand, we could have found other accommodation, left this apartment for someone who doesn’t mind these things.

It felt like a lot of thought had gone in to equipping the flat. The owner noted that they wondered if anything else was needed - the only suggestion I have is an outdoor shower/hose as I felt bad for the amount of sand that came in to the property when we came back from surfing or needed to rinse the wetsuits!

The photos are accurate, it is a compact set up but is well laid out. The decking was lovely to sit out on and there is easy access out the decking to the beach. The hosts were fantastic, nothing was missing and they left us set up for our holiday. Would definitely recommend booking this property.
